The
Pink Paddle is an ocean festival paddle that benefits cancer health
issues for women with proceeds going toward a mammography scholarship program for
women who cannot afford to get a mammogram. Currently, 1 in 8 women will
be diagnosed with breast cancer. A yearly mammogram is the single, most
effective way for diagnosing and treating breast cancer; when it is most
treatable and beatable. All proceeds stay in our local community.
Participants will be spreading the word on breast cancer prevention and
celebrating the life of those whom have fought the good fight and honoring
those who continue to fight the fight.
The Pink Paddle is a 4 mile open water paddle for all non-motorized water
crafts. Paddlers will be paddling to honor the loved ones of their choice
as well as provide a unity of support for others. It is an open donation
paddle.
